Document Summary

Anodontia - total failure of development of a complete dentition. Oligondontia few missing teeth (>6 missing teeth) Hypodontia some teeth missing (1-6 missing teeth) Supplemental teeth these are supernumerary teeth with a normal morphology, and they are usually an extra tooth at the end of the incisor, premolar or molar series. Most of the deciduous teeth form, but there are few or no permanent teeth. All derive from the ectoderm: hypodontia, hypotrichosis (scanty hair, anhidrosis (inability to sweat) Supernumerary teeth term used for any additional tooth. Impaction of teeth: malalignment, orthodontic problems, caries susceptibility, periodontal disease. Tuberculate weird looking cusps & edges deformed tooth see image. Cleidocranial dysostosis birth defect that affects bones and teeth. The collarbones are typically either poorly developed or absent, which allows the shoulders to be brought close together. Week 2: multiple impacted & supernumerary teeth, retained deciduous dentition. Or trauma from intubation while a preterm neonate.
