Tough on truth: need to debunk false and harmful social narratives, question actions and ideas taken for granted, look beyond fa ade, behind the scenes, find factual actions and forces. Sociology tends to be cynical: often challenges conventional wisdom, uncovers inconvenient facts, refuses to blindly accept official interpretations of society.
