Document Summary

Biomechanics: a branch of physics, applies the principle of mechanics to living organisms. Biomechanics can be used to solve qualitative and quantitative problems. Biomechanics may be a useful tool for sport educators, teachers, coaches, athletic trainers, physical therapists, and others involved in human movement. Linear: along a line that may be straight or curved with all parts of the body moving in the same direction at same speed. Angular: involving rotation around a central line or point. Kinematics: the study of the description of motion, including considerations of space and time. Kinetics: the study of the action of forces. Static state: constant state of motion , moving at same rate without acceleration. Dynamic state: system is subject to acceleration, velocity is changing. Distance: the amount of space between two points total length of travel. Speed: measurement of how fast you"re going the rate of motion. Velocity: the speed of a system in a given direction.
