Change is a feature of development, but there is a difference. In any society problems occur which cannot be met by an appeal to routine and customary solutions: these require creative responses. Our own adult moral development occurs thru same basic pattern. Life presents challenges and questions about what to do emerge and push us to come up with effective, responsible solutions. Intelligence comes up with the ideas: determination makes the ideas a reality.
