3) 1.Know the main modes of osmoregulation (or conformation) in marine invertebrates, freshwater and marine fish, amphibians, and mammals.


4) 1.Understand the basic anatomy of the mammalian kidney, and the flow of urine during excretion. Understand the basic structure and function of the nephron. Know what happens in the Loop of Henle and which ions are exchanged in each portion.


5)Understand the differences between ectotherms and endotherms and which types of animals fall into each category. Understand how animals in each category deal with environmental temperature
