Break down the specific details of an issue relevant to youth justice in Canada. 

What can be done in the YCJA to address the systemic inequalities that girls and Indigenous youth face?

Article 3-4 page 73): Justice can be seen to be done and Identity violent youth offenders.

a. What is the main idea?

b. What does the article say about the fairness and equality of the justice system? (Should be a minimum of 2 sentences)

c. Answer the question in the blue box under the article. (Should be a minimum of 2 sentences)

You are required to create a topic for your poster. It should relate in some way to youth and social justice.

• You must research and present your topic to the class and submit the poster for your research assignment.
• Your presentation should be approximately 7 minutes in length. (No less than 5 minutes and no more than 10 minutes)
• Your presentation must not be a simple reading of your document but rather a summary of the main points. Your instructor may refuse your selection if someone else already selected the same topic (depending on number of students in group).
• Your documentation must include a bibliography of resources that you consulted in the research. You must use at least 3 reputable sources in your bibliography.
• In your opening remarks of your presentation, explain briefly why the topic you selected is of interest to you.

Note that specific topics are easier to research than vast general ones. In other words, a topic like “5 reasons youth don’t vote and what to do about it” is an easier topic to research and present than “youth and voting”. Your instructor can help you focus your ideas and scope of research.

Ecological Modernization:

• What is Ecological Modernization and how does it work?
  • How can this be done in an opportunistic way?
  • Can we adapt the current system to specifications of EcologicalModernization?
    • Think about this in terms in of markets, taxes, incentives, and international law/global accords?

• Can this allow them to not repeat the mistakes of the developedworld?

• How does this reinforce the concept of Ecocentrism that we discussed in the beginning of the semester?
• Do we have time to Green the Liberal State, given the nature of democratic politics?
• Is Populism an obstacle, or can it too be manipulated to help green the state?
  • Where might this be hard, and where might this be easier?
