Background and context
Seeds are the start of a new plant's life. New plants emerge from seeds, but they do not begin to grow until they have access to the resources they require, such as sufficient soil, water, and sunlight. Germination occurs when a seed receives all of the nutrients it requires to thrive. Seeds are all diverse and require varied circumstances in order to germinate. Most seeds, on the other hand, have three primary components: seed, coat, endosperm, and embryo.
