Background and context

• A test cross is a cross between the F1 generation and its pure recessive parent.it is used to determine the genotype of F1 dominant progeny, whether it is homozygous or heterozygous.
• Individuals that have two different alleles at the same locus are known as heterozygous. For example, Hh, heterozygous shows dominant character usually.
• Individuals that have both the alleles identical at the same locus are known as homozygous.
