Background and context

The pet trade involves wildlife and domesticated animals as well. Many birds, reptiles, are stolen from their natural habitat and sold at markets outside their zone through illegal means. Even cats, dogs, guinea pigs, mice, fish, rabbits, birds are bred in mass to supply them as pets.
