Background and context

Plants are autotrophic organisms because they make their own food by the help of the process photosynthesis. Plants also having a tissue system with various kinds of cells and their specific or different cells have different functions. The two types of tissue system of plants are meristematic and permanent. The meristematic cells have the ability to divide throughout the life and the permanent has not the ability of division.
