We know that for Lewis structure we should be writing down all the valance electrons for all the atoms
we also know by electronic configuration that,
Valence electron for Boron = 3
valence electrons for Iodine= 7
have total valence electron equals 3+ 7 3 = 24 electrons
Boron here is the central atom due to its less electronegativity.
(Boron Tri-iodide) has total 24 electrons and 6 shared electrons.
