Eukaryotes are organisms with the true nucleus where, a nuclear membrane, nucleolus, and membrane-bound cell organelles are present in their cell. So, their genetic material would be safely enclosed within the nucleus. As prokaryotes do not have a true nucleus, their genetic material would lie in the cytoplasm.
