Background and context
Enzymes are known as biological catalysts. They alter the rate of the chemical reaction without undergoing any permanent change. All the enzymes are proteins. The action of the enzyme is such that it lowers the activation energy of the reactions and helps the reactions to reach equilibrium at a faster rate.
