Background and context

The imprudent utilization of antibiotics has provided a path for the expansion of bacterial populations that are resistant. One such example is Staphylococcus aureus which is usually treated with antibiotics when found in the human body. The new strain of these bacterial species named methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is considered a very dangerous strain as they are resistant to various commonly used antibiotics such as amoxicillin, methicillin, oxacillin, and penicillin.
