Chromosomal abnormalities are found in both autosomes and sex chromosomes. The alteration in the chromosome complement may involve both the number and structure of chromosomes. Numerical changes can be classified in terms of addition or deletion of one or more chromosomes or genome; whereas, alterations in the structure of chromosome may occur spontaneously or by induction.
