Background and context

Prokaryotes can survive harsh conditions in the ecosystem due to their cell wall structure, they are ubiquitous. These non-pathogenic bacteria live outside the cell body, whereas pathogenic bacteria invade the cell body. Both pathogenic and non-pathogenic bacteria may cause disease.
