Given information

ions are given. These must be arranged according to decreasing order of radius.

Step-by-step explanation

Step 1.

The ionic radii of isoelectronic species increases with a decrease in the magnitude of nuclear charge. Higher the nuclear charge, stronger is the attraction between nucleus and outermost electron. This results in the decrease of atomic radius.

All the given species have   electrons. Number of protons are respectively in magnesium cation , sodium cation , fluoride anion   and oxide anion .

So, the nuclear charge is maximum in magnesium ion and it is minimum in oxide ion .
