Nematodes are also called round worms.

Subphylum -: Eumatozoa .

  • They are bilaterally symmetrical and psuedocoelomates.
  • Cuticle is the outer protective layer of these organisms. 
  • Cuticle is hard in most organism to resist all the environmental stressors but in some organisms it may be soft and with some slimy secretions.
  • Slimy secretions are secreted by epidermis and epidermis is dead layer.
  • In some invertebrates chitin is also pigmented.
