Background and context

A tool called phylogenetic tree is used by the scientists to establish evolutionary relationships among organisms. The history of evolution of two species is determined by using the phylogenetic tree. By this tree the person can determine if the two organisms share common ancestors or not. To construct the phylogenetic tree, the characteristics of organisms must be known. By these characteristics, the phylogenetic tree can be made, and the person can determine if the two organisms are linked to each other.
