Background and context
Lethal gene action is a type of allelic interaction in which dominant alleles gives a normal phenotype while recessive alleles in homozygous condition can cause lethality and thereby the death of the organism. In heterozygous conditions, the organisms remain the carrier of the lethal allele but it is will survive.
