Renin-angiotensin-aldosterone mechanism is used to regulate the blood pressure and fluid content of the body. Kidneys secrete hormones that are responsible for the functioning of angiotensin, which is further converted to angiotensin II that regulates the constriction of blood vessels to increase blood pressure.
