Background and context

The circulatory system is the important organ system in which blood flows through the heart and blood vessels and carries the blood to different tissues, and cells of the body. The circulation can be of three types:

 

1) Pulmonary circulation: This is the circulation of blood from the heart to the lungs and then back to the heart. This helps in carrying the deoxygenated blood to the lungs for oxygenation and carried back to the heart for systemic circulation.

2) Portal circulation: In this circulation the blood circulated from gut to heart through the liver

3) Systemic circulation
