G-protein-linked receptors or the G-protein coupled receptors are very much important in the body as it controls the way of thinking, seeing, breathing, and so on. These receptors bind a ligand and activate a membrane protein called a G-protein. The two subunits formed in the G-protein include the alpha subunit and the Beta subunit.
