Background and context

A hydrothermal vent is a fissure or breakage in the Earth's surface that releases geothermally heated water, and in many seas and oceans, such hydrothermal vents are quite common. The temperature there ranges severely, and the pressure is also high. No sunlight reaches there and it's full of varieties minerals and chemicals. So basically it's an extreme environment, but still, there are many prokaryotes that can survive here. Their cellular structures and special adaptations can make it possible.
