Background and context

ADHD stands for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. It is a disorder that shows symptoms like lack of focus, difficulty in functioning, impulsivity, and hyperactivity. Developmental delay and dysfunction of the prefrontal cortex and disturbed neurotransmission may be the cause of ADHD. It can be treated with stimulating and behavioral therapies.
