Introduction

There are several products that don't fit easily into either the publicly or privately benefit classifications. Conch flesh is a popular dish as well as an essential piece of indigenous cuisine, however, the enormous decorative seashells may also be turned into stringed instruments. Conch mining is also competitive; if a swimmer captures a shell, it could not be captured by some other person.
