Background and context

In the body, the gland is found at the organ which mainly participates in the processing of hormones and their secretion in the body and into the bloodstreams. There are mainly two types of glands found in the body such as exocrine and endocrine. Exocrine glands secrete substances into a ductal system whereas endocrine glands secrete products directly into the bloodstream. These different types of glands are found at the different locations of the body.
