Background and context

The competitive exclusion principle was described by Gause and is additionally regarded as Gause’s laws of the competitive exclusion principle. This principle defines that no two species within a habitat can coexist when they compete for the same resources at the same place and time. This principle is found to be prominent for the ecosystem in which ecological factors are constant.
