Background and context
In the kidney, the nephron is found as the structural and functional unit which functions in the regulation of water concentration and the number of solute molecules like sodium salts to maintain the osmotic balance in the body. These molecules are found soluble and get filtered by the filtration of blood. With filtration, absorption of useful molecules also takes place.
