Introduction

When the perceived cost of self-education on a topic outweighs the expected potential benefit of knowledge, reasonable ignorance is the result. It is nonsensical to invest time properly educating oneself on a topic in order to make an informed decision when the cost of doing so outweighs any possible benefits one could reasonably anticipate receiving from that decision.
