Background and context

Asexual budding occurs in a bacterium that is aerobic in nature. These budding bacteria attaches to solid objects in freshwater, marine, and terrestrial environments. Prostheca or commonly known as hypha are produced by the mature cell at the beginning of a reproductive cycle. Initially it is small in size but gradually grows longer.
