Background and context
Photosystem I (PSI) and Photosystem II (PSII) are two different types of the photosystem. Both systems contribute to the reduction of NADP+ to NADPH. NADP+ is the oxidized nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate and NADPH is the reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate.
