Background and context
The receptors in biology can be defined as the chemical structure composed of proteins. The receptors receive signals from the surroundings and pass these signals to the system. The signals are mainly chemicals that bind to receptors. There are majorly two types of receptors, namely- extracellular and intracellular receptors.
