Background and context

Bones are considered as organs due to the presence of different kind of tissues like blood, connective tissue, nerves, and bone tissue. The living cells of the bone tissue are called osteocytes that develop the mineral matrix of bones. The bone tissue is categorized into two types namely compact and spongy. Epiphyseal plates are present at both ends of bones.
