Background and context

Mycorrhization is a process by which plants obtain & utilize phosphate and other minerals such as copper and zinc from the soil with the help of fungus mycorrhizae. The mycorrhizae help to increase the surface area for the roots of the plant by the hyphae which are narrow and can penetrate into the pores f the soil to absorb phosphate and other micronutrients such as zinc copper.
