Background and context

The process of scientific reasoning is based on certain logical methods that employ specific logical techniques. There are two types of logical reasoning that are employed to conclude results from the observation of a scientific research or experiments. These include inductive and deductive reasoning.

The observation in the given research is that the plants are growing well in an environment that is exposed to music as compared to the ones that are not exposed to music. The hypothesis made based on this observation was that the plants grow better in the presence of music.
