Stress is the biological and psychological response to adjustive demands form the environment. Conflict-presence of two or more incompatible needs: approach-avoidance conflict- the need has both positive and negative effects, double-approach conflict- too many desirable choices to choose, double-avoidance conflict- neither scenarios are desirable. Pressure- a force that requires one to adopt biologically or psychologically. Frustration- when a person"s striving toward a goal are blocked or failed to achieve it. Anxiety-is a negative mood state characterized by bodily symptoms of physical tension and by apprehension about the future. Social, physical, and intellectual performance are driven and enhanced by anxiety. Fear- an immediate emotional reaction to current danger characterized by strong escapist action tendencies and, often, a surge in the sympathetic branch of the autonomic nervous system. Obsession-intrusive and mostly nonsensical thoughts, image, or urges that the individual tries to resist or eliminate. Compulsion- are thoughts or actions used to suppress the obsessions and provide relief.
