Skin lesions on the remains of rameses v resembles smallpox. Leeuwenhook created a single-lens microscope that he used to make observations of microorganisms which he then called animalcules. He was the one who first provided accurate description of bacteria, protozoa and fungi. Louis pasteur performed countless experiments that led to his germ theory of disease. He postulated that microorganisms were in the environment and could cause infection. Robert koch prove that microorganisms caused certain diseases through a series of scientific steps which led to this formulation of the koch"s postulates.
