Document Summary

Pay attention to examples of ethnocentrism: using words such as primitive, saying that these people are part of nature, what the europeans think is not actually what"s true. A documentation of a group of white tourists in papua new guinea. Documents their trip and their interactions with the group. Lots of interviews about the groups themselves and what they think about the group and their lifestyle. Many discussions about the aboriginal people themselves about what they think about the visiting. They are aware of what is going on and know what tourism is dressing a specific way, doing ceremonies they wouldn"t normally, letting their kids run naked when they wouldn"t normally. Don"t understand why the europeans study them but understand they bring money. Therefore, they act a certain way selling themselves to you. The way we view the native group of people may be wrong (based on own morals), or unusual try to be as objective as possible.
