Document Summary

Help with the trojan horse, the greeks defeated the trojans. Gods thought that the sack of troy went overboard: cassandra = asylum violated, priam is killed at the altar of zeus. Gods send a storm as greeks leave. Many greek heroes either do not get home quickly or never return home: things back home have changed for the worse. They can"t reclaim their previous status as rulers of their kingdoms. These mishaps are consequences of their actions happening during the battles of the trojan horse. Nostos = return home --- where we get the word nostalgia. Refers to a myth or a story of the return of the greek heroes home. Nothing to punish him for so he just went home at pylos. Storm brings his ship all the way to egypt. Gets advice to a local sea nymph. Tells him to approach her father, who can transform into any shape.
