As we age, lose enzymatic capacity to digest milk. Dieting: actually good to have a slightly higher bmi. In addition to inhibiting the breakdown of drugs, some nutrients slow the effectiveness of a drug. Such is the case w/ vitamin k & warfarin. Warfarin is used as an anti-coagulant and vitamin. K is part of the blood clotting system. To help prevent this interaction, those taking warfarin are recommended to consume constant amounts of vitamin k, so that the correct dose of warfarin can be found to be effective. When this occurs, minerals can foten be lost at higher rates and could lead to deficiency.
