Work-family role con ict: when work spills over or interferes with an individual"s performance in their occupations with the family. Most prevalent among people who work more hours. Ful lling one role is perceived as more dif cult because of participation in the other. Family-work role con ict: when family responsibilities or demands spill over or interfere with work performance. Most prevalent among employees with children under 18 years old: sars. Sars stands for severe acute respiratory syndrome and is a new corona (common cold) virus. It has resulted in more than 8000 cases in 27 countries, with a 4-10% mortality rate and no treatment of vaccine. Areas in toronto resulted in health care workers burning out, stigmatization, severe tourism/racism/economic implications.
